Amelia Zahm lives in rural Northeastern Oregon and spends her time in the mountains, valleys, and canyons of Wallowa County, either on foot or on horseback. In addition to writing, she works as an acupuncturist and yoga teacher. Her writing focuses on the connections between place, history, a discovery of self, and the ways in which a perfectly ordinary life might provide some sort of insight into the magical world we each inhabit. Her work has been published at Jenny, Manifest-Station, and Oregon East, and she has work forthcoming in The Normal School, Post Road, and Streetlight Magazine. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Eastern Oregon University.
