Kelly McNamara lives and writes in Boston, where she studies fiction and creative non-fiction at Grub Street. She is at work on a memoir about the years she worked as a bike messenger on the streets of Boston and London, and in the meantime she's writing a series of quiet little pieces about heartbreak. "Divorce: A Short Guide," is from this collection, as is "This is How Much You Need a Dog," which recently appeared in the Chicago Quarterly Review. She may be reached at kelly@kelmacster.com.
