Melissa Bowers is the winner of the 2020 Breakwater Review Fiction Prize as well as The Writer’s inaugural personal essay contest, and her stories are published as prize-winners in Pithead Chapel, Barren Magazine, and Lunate. She has been shortlisted for this year’s Bridport Prize, longlisted for the Bath Flash Fiction Award, and nominated for Best Small Fictions 2021.
