Growing up in Texas in a house built atop a bulldozed swamp, I learned early that trash bags make a great slip-n-slide, crushed magnolias a sweet perfume, and words on paper a transport to another venue. I currently spend my days as a high school librarian continually transported by words on pages while spending my evenings crafting my own.
Publications include Flash: The International Short-Short Story Magazine, 11.2 (October 2018). I was selected for the SUNY Writer’s Institute Workshops twice, studying under Irish Poet Laureate John Montague and author Elizabeth Benedict, and won the Rensselaer McKinney Writing Contest for poetry two different years.
