Randy Gonzales works across disciplines, genre, and media, creating new media compositions based on ethnographic research. He was born and raised in New Orleans, but has spent a large part of his adult life residing abroad, in places like Fukui, Yongin, Abu Dhabi, Pohang, Calamba, Alabang, and Al Ain. His poetry has appeared in Cha: An Asian Literary Journal, The Mississippi Review, Intentional Walk and elsewhere. He holds a PhD from the University of Southern Mississippi and currently works as an Assistant Professor of English at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
