Saadia Faruqi is a Pakistani American writer and proud desi. She is editor-in-chief of Blue Minaret, a magazine featuring Muslim poetry, fiction and art. Her short story collection Brick Walls: Tales of Hope & Courage from Pakistan was published in 2015. She now writes books for children, including the popular "Yasmin" series by Capstone.
