Xueyi Zhou was born and raised in Foshan, a city of manufacturing in Guangdong, China. After she earned a BA in Translation and Interpreting from Shanghai International Studies University, she returned home and worked in a stainless-steel company. English writing pulled her out again and dropped her into the US deserts, where she will be pursuing her MFA at UNLV. Her fiction has appeared or is forthcoming in X-R-A-Y, Waxwing, Passages North, Chestnut Review, Pithead Chapel, JMWW, Tahoma Lit Review, AAWW and more.
