Valerie LeBlanc and Daniel H. Dugas have worked collaboratively on media projects, performances and writing since 1990. They each continue to carry out individual creative projects as well. Social and political aspects of the world, as well as technological changes that continue to augment reality are the pivots on which their practice revolves. The underpinning motivation is to move communication forward.
Ecology and shifting boundaries are themes often explored in their work. They have recently completed FLOW: BIG WATERS (March 1, 2016) with the online launch of their soundmap and audioworks. This multi-disciplinary project is based on research started in the Everglades National Park, Florida during their July 2014 residency with AIRIE – Artists in Residence in Everglades, Inc.
