Glen Allen’s Legacy

0

So you think

by now

everyone’s so

blasé

guns being

here and there

and in between

in real life

and on the silver screen

so much

that no one

breaks a sweat

Well, boy,

it still comes

down

to one gun

one moment

and one sonofabitch

stretching that

moment

into forever

you

sitting on your bed

and him

dead-leveling that

black snake

its mouth wide open

straight at you

and you

pissing your pants

and him saying

Go ahead

you little bastard

move

and you

years later

waiting for it to

strike
