Artist’s Statement:
OBJECT:PRAHA II (2022) is a documentary on the literary happenings and interdisciplinary performances of the Prague-based performance and poetics collective OBJECT:PARADISE in the working class neighborhood of Prague, Czech Republic: Źižkov. Filmed entirely on VHS throughout 2021, community members gathered to create an audio experience of the collectives usual events which were muted from the COVID-19 pandemic. The collective’s manifesto is to make poetry readings lowbrow, punk rock, and accessible to a general audience.
