Artist statement: I am an educator, a graphic designer, a writer and film-maker. With more than 25 years of experience as a graphic designer, I remain excited about the changing field; in fact, my enthusiasm has grown. From first learning how to design book covers for academic presses after graduating with a BA in English and Journalism from Indiana University in 1990, to returning to school for my MFA in graphic design, to teaching for the last 15 years, to writing and designing film-poems — I am still excited about visual design and what the future holds in these overlapping digital worlds.
