Artist Statement: I am a Chemical Engineer, and have an affection for the beauty of science and maths, possibly the closest I come to seeing truth. I have always struggled with how little penetration poetry, which I would consider the vehicle for illuminating truth, has in the scientific world. I have toyed with writing poems about science and maths, but the overlap in knowledge across the fields is small and getting smaller. Methods of education and specialization seem to be expanding this gap. Among my poetry friends there are few working in engineering or science, among my workmates very few seem to enjoy poetry. To me this must be the essential synthesis. This poetry film is attempting to cross the gap.
