SARA LIPPMANN

This Tuesday, we will open for entries for the Atticus Review Flash Contest from November 1 to January 15 next year. Submissions will close January 15, 2023. We close midnight EST on the 15th. First place is $1000 + publication! We have other cash prizes and offers for publication for finalists and entrants.

Our judge for the contest is the fabulous Sara Lippmann, whose latest book Lech is available for pre-order!

CONTEST RULES

Sara Lippmann will judge the prize. The winner will receive $1000. Runners-up $250 and $50 respectively. The three winners and select finalists will be published in the April 2023 issue of Atticus Review. All entrants may be considered for publication in a future issue of Atticus Review.

Entries cost $15 for one flash, $20 for two. There is no limit on the number of entries you can submit–each one, though, requires a contest fee.

Entries must be 1000 words or less (not including the title).

All entries are judged anonymously. Please DO NOT include any identifying information on your entries.

Any current or recent students, mentees, colleagues, or close friends of the judge should not submit to the contest. The judge’s decision is final.

If you need to withdraw your submission, please do so on Submittable. If you’ve submitted two entries in one file, just add a note on Submittable telling us which one is no longer available.
